It's hard to believe but the crocheted back of these gloves is all hand crocheted, by women in Italy who do this work for us at home. Each glove represents hours of handwork and with all that labor in them, we sell them at just over cost. We're willing to sell them though because we want to bring this kind of high quality product to our customrs and we're also happy to be preserving this craft and keeping these craftswomen employed. In addition to the handmade crocheted back, these gloves also feature a fine Italian lambskin palm and a hand-crocheted thumb.
