Made in Italy by our craftsmen at Fratelli Orsini, these are the simplest version of the gloves you are thinking of when you are talking about opera length women's gloves. Made of the softest finest Italian Lambskin leather, with a very smooth appearance, and incredibly fine machine sewing for almost invisible seams. Unhemmed. A word about length: These gloves are available in two different lengths, known as 12-button-length, and 16-button-length. Button-length is a glovemaker's term for length up the arm, approximately one inch per button, but it varies with the size of the glove. A smaller size glove will be a shorter glove, and a larger size will be longer. All this to explain that 12 button gloves "cup the elbow" (just about past the elbow, but not quite) and 16 button gloves go to mid-upper-arm, halfway between the elbow and the shoulder -- traditional opera length gloves.
