Frequently Asked Questions
We continually re-examine our international shipping. There are two main reasons why we don't ship to a particular country: 1) Cost - For some countries the shipping costs exceed what our international flat-rate can manage; 2) Reliability - In some countries, there are a large number of packages which never reach their recipient, which is dissapointing to you and a business loss for us. While we are continuing to watch and evaluate our international shipping, we do not have any estimate as to whether or when a specific country will become part of our list of countries to which we ship.
We do accept orders that have been sent to us through the mail, paid for with a check or money order. With the payment include the style number, color, size, and quantity of the gloves you are wanting to order. Also include the shipping address and a telephone number, so we can contact you should there be any problems filling the order. If you would like to be notified when we have shipped the order, and receive the shipment tracking number, include your e-mail address as well. Most customers find that the easiest thing to do is to start your order using our website and print out your shopping cart, then write on that printout the personal information we request.
Orders within the US that are over $25 have free shipping via the US Postal Service; orders less than $25 have a $5 shipping charge. If you would like FedEx 2nd Business Day or FedEx Next Business day, these services have a $13 and $20 shipping charge, respectively.
If you are in the state of California, there will be sales tax of 8.75% added to the order. You will want to ensure that all costs (goods, shipping, and taxes) are included in the value of your money order. The money order would be made out to Leather Gloves Online. You can send the money order, and order details, to us at:

Your first step is to check with your local post office, using the tracking number. It is possible they are holding it for delivery (on occasion a postal carrier will scan it delivered when they leave their mail truck, and then can't fit it in the mail slot/box and it goes back to the post office... they are supposed to leave a notice but sometimes that goes awry). Also, the local post office can check with the mail carrier in case the package was misplaced. If the package is missing, we will file an inquiry with the US Postal Inspection Service (the law enforcement and mail theft branch of the US Postal Service), and once we have a case number, we will be willing to re-ship the package via Priority Mail, Signature required.
It is the nature of unlined black leather gloves to shed dye. Our experience is that this shedding will wash off with soap and water and that the shedding stops after a short time. The amount of shedding is related to dye in the gloves and your own body chemistry and almost always stops after very few wearings. If you would like to return the gloves please follow the instructions on the back of the invoice or call us.
